the lackluster design of the thing is what really bugs me. There is nothing there that stands out. The ONLY cool thing on the GTO is the GTO badge.
It is just a boring looking sedan with an overpowered engine that cant seem to get any speed.

I agree on all points. I will say though, It has very nice bolstered seats and better than average pontiac interior .A friend has a 04. It has the LS1 instead of the LS2 in the 05 models but still has 350hp and 360tq stock and a 6speed. I drove not long after he got it. I let the rpms come up to about 2k in 2nd gear and punched it, didnt really pull hard till about 4K and the transmission is heavy and notchy to shift. My automatic 01 GT with just a couple boltons, would run right with it up to about 100 and then he would start to pull away slowly. I can't see paying sticker price for it.
