You will like your 3.73's on the street. Really wakes the car up. They did not affect my mileage at all. If you went with the Ford racing gears they are easier for your mechanic to install. Ford uses something they call the MHD which stands for the master housing deminsion. Every set of gears uses the same backspacing so there is no need for measuring back spacing. They still need to check backlash but this does help speed up the install. My 3.73's were Richmond's I replaced them with a set of Ford Racing 4.30's and the 4.30's are much quieter.
