you havent spent any time around street trucks have you??? that a real common thing to do. all it is is block of titanium (usually) mounted underneath the truck and thats whats causin the spark. not the body or frame. no damage to the truck.

Awesome to see on a low rider or truck when on the street. I seen someone in a custom old school lincoln. It was so badass.

Along with different types of metal you can use to get different color sparks you can also turn your hitch ball upside down and drag that. I have seen it all lol

A friend of mine has a show car with air and we drag ball all the time, actually welded a nut on the fram for the ball so no parts of the car would touch :)...its fun and great for videos haha.

Think its so damn dumb, but its popular everywhere now...whole car shows devoted to them! :eek:

I guess its all a matter of opinion, the same guys probably think our mustang habits are stupid, but they just let us do our thing. BTW, cops give us big fines and impound our cars for loud exhaust sometimes...lol so it goes both way. I personally would never do it, cause I think it looks dumb as well, but if thats what there into, whatever.

are you a cop? if you are you would know they're not doing anything illegal by scraping the ground. the only time a cop can say anything is if it damages the road. other than that it's legal.

i am not a "cop" i am a Military Police Officer in the Marine Corps... and i would DEFINITLY impound any Marines car that did this crap on base... theres PLENTY of violations they are making by creating that much sparking...

as for the cop that let you guys slide... he was problly preoccupied or just a REALLY nice guy...

He probably didn't care. Now don't get me wrong you can't do this **** with any car like a mustang. pretty much just leave it to a few imports and mostly mini trucks. It is part of the mini truck lifestyle.

Mini truckers look at muscle car guys and ask why the spend 4 grand on a supercharger when they could buy air ride and paint for the same amount. It's all a matter of opinion.

I would consider myself to be on both sides of the spectrum here, I love it all but I would never cross the two and drag my stang...ewwwww lol

im in the Air Force.(i know----dont say it) the Cops on base here can blow my ass. some snot nose 18 year old kid thinks he rules the world when hes a cop in the military, and ill be damned the day that same kid will tell me i was peeling out on base and take me to jail.(i had a run in with quite a few)
all i did was pull 2500RPM's out of my car, not even giving it any gas. was not hot rodding by any means. my exhaust is loud. and this punk tried to impound my car, arrest me, give me a ticket for reckless driving, speeding(i was going about 10MPH), and get my driving privliages on base taken away.

no disrespect for you man--but damn--base cops here are for the most part jerks. they look for trouble. and i dont. ive never had a ticket before, and do not plan on it anytime soon. hell---i dont even speed, and i have over 500HP.

end rant. this all happened yesterday.

mp's are different, completely different rules (im in the army btw). you could probably give the guy a ticket but a non military police officer could not unless its damaging the road or endangering somebody around them. if these kids are doing it in a parking lot or an empty road then they're not doing anything illegal. they used to do it here right on one of the main strips and the cops would just watch until somebody started doing something stupid.

i pretty much agree with you but... i guess you cant be so vocal about your opinions... when it comes down to it you just gotta go with the "whatever floats your boat" opinion. its like... the whole "paul wall" guy... (a white rapper) he grew up around all black people somewhere in the south and now acts like them... so i guess its all about who you grow up and hang around... :)
