Video: Incredible Don Walsh Jr. Crash, Fireball & Greating Driving from NMRA Finals

At the NMRA Nitto Tire World Finals 2006 - Don Walsh Jr. crashed his Pro 5.0 Mustang in the second round of qualifying when water got under the rear tires. The car, at close to 200 mph, swerved across the track, went up on two wheels at a 45-degree angle, and then burst into flames. Incredible driving and instincts by Walsh allowed him to correct, save the car from impacting the wall at over 100 mph, and to survive with just a scrape to the body work. It is one of the most incredible videos you will ever see in the history of drag racing. Click here for the direct link: http://www.nmratv.com/index.php?stre...flv&playlist=1 |
Thank God for Zoomy headers :worship2:

yeah me and MacD saw the wreck that night :( it looked pretty bad. So many people were having problems that night. Everyone kept breaking stuff too.

Damn, the headers saved his ass

Yeah that right lane was awful. There was another car that, not only once, but twice, did a wheelie straight up in the air. For a second, I thought he was gonna flip. It was a pretty bad night in the right lane. It was good racing though, even after waiting in between cleanups.
