what was the point of that?

I would guess that it's the end result of someones assignment from some type of "programming school", not that I personally think it's bad. I kind of enjoyed it. At the very least, it was something different to watch. Kind of makes me think of what the result would be if Pink Floyd made videos for songs other than their own.
