84 3.8 water pump trouble

I am having issues getting my old water pump off. Well the bolts actually, one of the studs broke off, One bolt is beyond stripped, and another bolt is broke off as well. Anyone know any efficient yet wallet friendly ways to help? Already have new studs and bolts, the new water pump, gasket, and sealer. Getting the bolts/studs out and the old water pump off is my only issue. Already moved the power steering pump as well as the a/c. Any help would be appreciated.

Strip sockets? idk maybe try heating the bolts up with a torch or lots of liquid wrench and using the strip sockets to get them out.

If you have a small chisel, or a flathead screwdriver, you could probably hammer a notch into the stud, and keep hitting the screwdriver until it breaks the bolts loose. Or cut'em.

Yeah dont really have a torch on hand atm lol. otherwise im going to try the chisel idea. Something has to be done, gonna cost a bit otherwise to get the broken bolts and stud out. I know they stick out about an inch or so. Hopefully enough to get a grip and be able to get them out. Appreciate it guys!! anymore suggestions feel free.

Argh

Alright guys, tried the whole torch idea. and the area is kinda hard to get a hammer in at all. Im running out of ideas. its been sitting for 2 weeks over a water pump issue that should have been done in one night. Im getting desperate lol. The bolt is totally stripped now thanks to my brother offering to help.

Hi,

I imagine you've already resolved the issue with your stripped bolts, but for others that may encounter the same problem, a set of Craftsman "bolt outs" from Sears will do the job for about $20. I had to buy a set for my exhaust bolts, and they came out the first try even though they were severely rounded off.
