WOW same thing happened to my friend! and he was 1 day off from a rollover coverage they offered.. one freaking day! and now hes like 20,000 dollars in debt and his car is a cube..

The hardest thing about it is going to be the radiator core support and that's not that bad. Save yourself a ton of money and head for the junkyard.

you couldnt take a radiator support off a car reuse it because it would be weak. There are no bolts in the radiator support, its just tack welds.

He said he already had the core support situation handled so I wasn't going to beat that dead horse anymore. I've replaced countless core supports and entire front clips on Mustangs(most people in VA can't drive in the rain, or anything for that matter) and I'm well aware of how they are fastened. And if you know what you're doing, you can cut almost anything off of one and weld it to another and it's just as strong and it's not obvious.
I brought up the junkyard for all the other parts like a hood, fenders, lights, bumper cover and all that crap. I've picked up a few front covers with header panels for $65 and sold them on a body work job for $300+.

long overdue update... but after its now been a year since my accident, in which my car became undrivable for about 8 months while i slowly fixed it. I finally got it running again back in may (after conveniently having the fuel pump randomly die) and have now been driving her around for the last 3 months with everything feeling exactly the way it did before. the only thing left on my agenda is the final repainting and replacing the windshield (it was cracked even before the accident). I'm getting her painted next weekend and reattaching the chin-spoiler and hoodscoop the day i get her back. I'll post pics up once she's all said and done. Thanks to those who have given my advice while getting my good ol' Sally back on her feet.

Shit, and I'm thinking about getting rid of my car soley because of recurring clutch issues( needing 5th clutch and flywheel at 65K miles+I don't drive like a 16yo high schooler in a civic)......Glad to see you have the desire to fix it over junking it tho.
