Christmas in September!!Wait, that's not right....

Alright guys already have one project, thats my v6/cobra conversion. But I'm still piecing together what I need so...last week I bought, well was given pretty much a 2006 mustang v6, buddy wrecked it, minimal damage he let me have it for $800, I couldn't believe it either....But nothing is wrong with it, just some minor cosmetic blemishes. So I've been thinking I want to turn this thing into a beast! I found a stroker kit from Tom Morana for a pretty decent price. I'm also thinking about a port and polish job, cam, and eventually a vortech or TT....if funds allow. Whatcha think??

Don't keep it a V6......you'll regret it after as much money you'll throw into it to still only get as little horsepower out of it as you will.

My personal thought. Get a 5.4 from the newer F-150s and swap that in, then throw on the TT and kick some ass. That will do better than anything else you can do to that car.

Bad thing is with you starting with a V6 this also means you'll have to upgrade the driveterrain and suspension to handle any kind of V8 swap.

But if you're wanting to make a V6 a beast, you're going to drown yourself in the money that you pay for it.

Since you got it on the cheap I would do one of two things.

1) Do a carbed Windsor (331, 347, 351, 408 or ect....) swap for a dedicated track beast. It would be relatively cheap and run like a raped ape. You wouldn't have to worry about down time if the car is just for the weekends/track. It would be easy to work on in the future.

2) Fix it and sell it for profit, then use the money on your other project. I don't know you so I don't know how much money you have to work with or how much spare time you have but two project vehicles is one too many for most people.

Like whitestang04 said fixing it up and selling would give you some good income for your other car! but if your set on making this one a beast do a motor swap!
