the short tube headers on the 3.8L engine are not restrictive at all, no really need to get long tubes

im just spitballing but i heard long tubes give you better power when you add more things to your engine on a v6
|
i also heard they sound good

Seanstang has them because he has a sprayed v6 with many mods on his car. Teal Beast had them because he had a procharger pushing 11psi. |

They do make it sound deeper. Which is nice, but it still sounds like a v6 above 3k rpms.

On a mostly stock car they are not worth much at all. However with a good amount of mods or when using nitrous or forced induction of some kind or a nasty n/a motor with a cam, heads, ported intake they are worth having for sure.

Just to give a reference to the Lts from mac here is a clip from a guy with them

You can't get the deepness that the long tubes provide over the internet. They sound really good below 3k. Kinda like every exhaust setup on a v6.
