Throttel Body

i was thinking about getting a 65mm TB but my car is mostly stock with a CAI. will this hurt or help my car?

Mr. Zip 02-26-2009 09:07 PM

What kind of car? Are we talking a v6 or a cobra? Haha

NewMustangMan 02-26-2009 09:13 PM

Its a 6

Mr. Zip 02-26-2009 09:19 PM

Yeah, if it's a 65mm I guess it would be a 6 lol. If you have an 05+ and you pair it with a tune you could see some alright gains, but nothing spectacular.

NewMustangMan 02-26-2009 09:27 PM

i believe its an 03! oh confirmed it just looked at his other thread. i have heard the really only help with a big motor or FI

NewMustangMan 02-26-2009 09:40 PM

I really enjoy my 70mm on my 07. The response is great and it sounds great.

i think sum people are like other people....

They cant save up for sumthing. They want to buy sumthing for their car right then and there. lol. Gear will cost about 800 bucks with part/labor, while the TB will only cost about 250. If i have the money right then and there for the gears i would buy them but if i dont then......... i wont get em, lol

spike_africa 02-27-2009 07:19 AM

Its a waste of money on your car and you are much better off getting something else.

3.8LMustang 02-27-2009 07:21 AM

yup like probaly rocker rollers or sumthing. or have ur heads ported or even ur intake manifold

u really went of on an unrelated question here didnt you?? lol

regardless, what you want is Royal Purple 75w90 Gear Oil. its good shit. i've got to ask, are you planning on doing this yourself? not that i doubt your automotive prowess, however even regular shops sometimes balk at doing rear gears.

3.8LMustang 03-02-2009 06:27 AM

yes royal purple FTW!!!!!!

spike_africa 03-02-2009 07:45 AM

I don't understand why they sell 75w90 when its not even what were supposed to you in our rears.
