Heater Hose
well on my way home from running some errands my car started steaming from my engine bay. i took a look at it and what happened was somehow part of my heater hose ruptured and just blew and had anti-freeze steam everywhere in my engine bay. the heater hose section that ruptured was connected to a tube that runs along side of my valve cover. my question is where the tube connects the hose there is a metal clamp that looks like it came assembled from the factory. if i cut the tube before that can i just take 5/8 heater hose and run it from that or do i need to run it from the clamp.
sorry if i worded that bad but ill try to get pics soon of what im talking about. |
judging by your description or what I could understand I would say run it from the clamp. Cutting corners is never worth it when it comes down to you motor IMO

i agree do it right or u might have the same problem shortly after u get it up and running. talk to the parts store and see if they have the clamp or one that can replace it. post a pic if u can get it so we can better understand your situation.
