FUEL INJECTOR QUESTION

ok so wat lbs. of injectors should i have if im making about 250hp (in which im not) cuz i know my stock injectors top out at 170hp so wat size should i go with next?

like for 200hp= ?? lbs. injectors

300hp = ?? lbs. injectors

400hp = ?? lbs. injectors

500hp = ?? lbs. injectors

and so on and so forth, lol

oh and at what point should i upgrade my Fuel Pump?

Your stock injectors are good for well past 170hp. the stock 19# are good for around 300ish rwhp. So for you there is no need to spend on that upgrade unless you run boost or get a serious n/a motor going. Fuel pump should feed your v6 fine as well.

should i just get the 24lbs since im planning on making more than 300hp in the near future

and since the 19lbs and 24lbs cost the same

No, I would save your money as you would need a tune also if you got bigger injectors. You don't need to upgrade them now so use the money for something else. Are you going with some sort of boost soon?

well i have the SCT tuner and on the injectors it has 24lbs and the 30lbs to switch to, and by the beginning of next year i will be giving my stang a break cuz we will be getting a second car. and ya boost might come in the picture like in the beginning of 2010, kind of a long time but i will get it, and if not boost then ill probaly be spraying :D and i know i could get that once i finish with all my internals

Well if you spray then you still don't need as Im sure you would use a wet kit which adds the fuel for you so once again dont bother with injectors now.

Just put 30# injectors in and you'll never need to upgrade again lol. If the motor doesn't need the extra fuel, the injectors just won't spray as much. Air/fuel is controlled by the ECU.
