that most likely due to crappy quality. I don't know much about halo's because i think they're goofy looking (not to mention your night lighting will be worse than it was stock) but I would just send an email to a seller. Looks like the majority of vehicles he sells to are Honda's.... so who knows what kind of help you will get from them. If it involves duck tape avoid :D:D

Mr. Zip 08-17-2008 03:11 PM

Or just leave it alone for an hour. The more pissed off you get the worse you'll do the installation...

doobie 08-17-2008 03:18 PM

advance auto isn't going to know crap about that stuff as they do not sell it. they wouldn't even be able to help install an OEM headlight, they're just idiots, all retail "auto" stores are.

double check your work. if its all done right you probably have some damaged gear. contact the seller. buy some headlights that dont look goofy and get em from a reputable source, my opinion. how many times do you see mustangs with those headlights? there's a reason.

+2,

do you have the right bulbs?

susheelover 09-01-2008 02:51 AM

Halos are fantastic at night!!!! I can see much better with mine...don't know about anybody elses. The OEM headlights went opaque on me in 2003...and my car is a 2001!!! I tried to fix 'em ,sand 'em, bought a kit...etc. Nothing worked, so I chucked 'em. My halos look great, get compliments: at the mall, on the road, at traffic lights, grocery stores, etc.

As far as fixing them....I am the kind of person that would take them apart and find the prob. Try just grounding out the black wire and touch the white power wires direclty to the battery. That way, you can eliminate problems step by step. If you are not that adventurous, take them to a Ford dealer, or other car electronics. All headlights work on the same principle......electricity!!! They should be able to help.

Don't worry about the members of the Mustang Taliban that only put stock parts on their Mustang and freak out and turn their noses up if you experess yourself out side of the parameters that THEY set for everyone else. They are of an elite culturally insensitive group that use racial epithets like 'ricer'. Don't be afraid of the Mustang Taliban...just ignore them as most are immature teenagers that still live with their mom. Good luck!
It's your car...do whatever you want to it...you are the only one that has to like it!!!
America is a great place to live. I got mine from mustangsunlimited.com. Great quality and the cheapest price...$229 b4 taxes.

doobie 09-01-2008 07:14 AM

lol@mustang taliban. i just don't like halo lights, look like something you'd find on a BMW or a cheap lookin honda.

susheelover 09-01-2008 07:44 PM

It's all good...just express your opinion when you can help. That is why he posted...for help....all you did was fart in his direction. You can have your opinion, no prob. But open your mind.......just because YOU don't like it...doesn't mean 1000 other people love it.
If someone posts, and all you can do is say something negative....keep it to yourself...nobody needs it, and it just creates unecessary animosity. I simply hate forums that don't even talk about Mustangs. It starts with a thread, and eventually people are calling each other gay and stupid and the thread goes on and on and on like that. I have joined and quit about 5 Mustang forums.....this one seems to be the best one so far. ....but we will see.

what does 'ricer' even mean? If I have Asian ancestry...does that mean I am not welcome here?

Nope, but if you put stickers that 'add horsepower' on your car, turn it into a plastic hotwheels car, or make it glow gross fruity colors, we'll look at you funny. : D
