CAI installation.

So I got this k&n intake the other day, my sisters boyfriend just gave it to me cause it didnt fit whatever he had which I think it was some sort of truck, but anyhow, doesnt know what car its actually made for cause someone gave it to him also. Now, Im assuming this thing is gonne fit with a bit of "rigging" and some magic, where the hell is my MAF sensor on the stock intake? I mean, I see where it plugs in and all, but Im confused as to how its supposed to go on the aftermarket intake. Now, do I have to buy a new MAF sensor off AM, or bypass it, or what? My mechanic knoweledge is under average, so help me out.

I would say scrap the free one and buy one that was made for your car. You don't want to rig something together and not have it run right at all. Don't try to bypass the MAF at all, its there for a reason

yeah definately don't bypass the maf. It is located in that big black box thing of an intake ford put on our cars.
click link for many pictures of V6's with intakes installed: the thing that splits up the pipe into two pieces is the MAF.

Yeah, I know its in there, Ive just never taken the air box apart so I wasnt sure what the stock MAF looked like. Now, is it gonna be that square piece on top of a tube when I take it apart, or what?
