Uhh, one hole is for the sensor (unplug it from your stock intake tube and into the new one), and the other should have a nipple on it which you slide the vacuum hose onto.

its the air temp sensor which the 99-00 had I believe. I know the 04's don't have it so you need to plug the hole. That hole should be closest to the MAF and then the vacuum hose is closest to the throttle body and its the same hose that you took out of the stock intake. That should answer your questions. Good luck the install won't take you long just make sure everything is tightly fastened

my k&n came with a rubber plug if yours didn't I guess you can get creative you just want to make sure air isn't getting sucked through the hole

ok its done yes it was easy to install pluged the hole with a screw for now too big to go through the rubber gasket but large enough to plug the hole not to suck air in yea the vacuum senser was too short lookin at the pic of that other 04 im guessing that was the same problem that dude had guess thats why AM says it wont fit the 04's happy with the way it looks dont really notice the sound it makes if u listen close u can hear it but thats what i wanted and maybe its in my head but my car does feel faster or it could have been my dirty filter
