in serch of some good mods
i just bought my first mustang. its a 98 v6 and im looking to tap in to some more power and style.
what should i be looking for to start off. i was thinking some MUSTANG bumber inserts, and a cold air intake for starters thanks, tristang |
im also mabe looking into an exust but im really noob at this so i need major help. i dont even know what i should be looking at for exust.
thanks, tristang |
exhoust is a good mod so are gears, look around the forum you will see alot of stuff about exhoust.
by the way ware do you live in pa? |
You should the exhaust first. I recommend Magnaflow or Mac.
You can replace the stock muffler or you can go dual most go dual. Dual FTW! go to a local shop and ask about pricing for a dual exhaust system |
should i be looking for a full system or just use some of the stock stuff. for some reason im stuck on this cold air thing. oh and i live near hairsburg.

just find a good quality CAI off ebay. the name brands wont gain anymore and are alot more money.
Everyone can see and HEAR your exhaust system. You dont need to use any of the old stock parts. Just got to a shop and have them make a custom system for you. 2.5 in pipe you can get an X or an H pipe its up to you. |

yeah thanks for the input. and i know its really over asked but do u use k&n or bbk?
thanks, |
is this all right for starters on an air intake?
http://www.americanmuscle.com/94-98-...ir-intake.html or should i go http://www.americanmuscle.com/bbk-cai-9498-v6.html thanks, |
Any of them will do fine or you can get a cheap one off of ebay like earlier stated. I personally have a K&N Intake system. As for the exhaust we have a large exhaust thread read this: https://mustangboards.com/v6-tech-fo...es-setups.html and all of your questions will be answered. If you still are not clear after reading then ask some questions that are still having you confused.

Price range is hard to say depending on how much you have them install. Just the catback would probably run you around 200-250 so maybe doing a midpipe and catback would be around 350 but thats a total guess you have to call around and get quotes. |
