2005 V6 - Stock, what to do?

Hi, this is my first post so sorry if I'm in the wrong place. I recently bought a 2005 Mustang V6 and I'm very interested in upgrading it. I'm new to the whole Mustang thing, and therefore know nothing about upgrading them. I was hoping for some suggestions that anyone might have as to what I should do first, second, third, etc. I'm hoping someone also has tire/wheel suggestions for me. Thanks for your time!

1. Dual Exhaust
2. CAI
3. Supercharger/Turbo
4. Gears
5. Rims

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions. Do have any specific brands for these that you or anyone else could recommend? About the exhaust - If I wanted to upgrade from the single to the dual exhaust, I’m going to need a GT bumper, does anyone know where I can get one, and roughly how much they cost to paint so it matches my car? (also is that something I can put on myself?)

i would go to youtube and look up exhausts videos to see how they sound and pick the one you like the most. you could put the cai in your self and the rims but i would not put the exhaust on your self unless your just doing a cat back and you know what your doing.

For exhaust i would say any of these: Flowmaster, Mac, Magnaflow,
I just installed the new flowmaster 44's and recommend them they are awesome!
Gears 4.10 auto 3.73 manual, Frod Racing or Motive. Get a Traction lock also.
Rims your personal pref

for the GT bumper you dont have to get one you can cut it but I got my bumper from Bumpers.com
For CAI get K&N, AEM, JLT S&B, Volant, Injen, Fujita, Fram,... IMO K&N or Fram

Bumper

I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a website that carries an 05 GT bumper. (rear) I know there must be some out there, but I must be blind because I can't find any. If anyone knows where to get a 05 GT bumper, and roughly the prices for them + installation, I would really appreciate it. I did find one site that carried it, but they did not have my color (Mineral Grey), so also if anyone knows a good place to go for a nice paint job that would be great too!!

here is what your looking for, you just have to know where to look.:)

This is take off part form a 05-06 GT. It comes with the bumper painted and the
gt axle back exhaust. So if you want the mufflers they you go if not just sell them to some one and buy your own
here are some systems

Thanks Cheddar, Does anyone know any other sites where I can find an 05 rear GT bumper? The site above came with the GT mufflers and was from a used car, and unfortunately I'm looking for a new bumper without the GT mufflers. Thanks for the help

www.newtakeoff.com

Never actually ordered from them so i can't tell you how good they are

Thanks

Thanks for the website. Again they don't carry Mineral Grey, which is a bummer. I'm thinking of either getting a black bumper, would that look good with a Mineral Grey body? and if not, does anyone know a cheap but good quality paint job place? Im thinking I should just get it in white then have it payed to be painted, but if someone knows another site that sells it already painted in Mineral Grey that would be great, because i really don't want to spend the extra dough

Don't mix and match body parts as it will look like hell.

There is a company that sells stock parts including rear bumpers for really cheap. They are parts taken off of cars used to build after-market cars like Salleens. I will see if I can find it.

You will find what you need if you are patient. Don't pay to have one painted. I bet you could find a complete one with the right color for $200 - $350. Stock body parts, painted and in new condition are easy to find. Hit all the forum sites like this and ask if anyone has one to sell.

Taking an existing bumper and putting a different color on it is ghetto. It won't work. The paint is rubberized. You need to either remove the old paint, or start with a naked peice, prep it, and spray it. It might actually cost more to repaint an existing bumper then a new one.

mine was a refurbished bumper. There is only minor things wrong and you would have to look long and hard to find them if you just look at it normally you wouldn't find them.
Plus you can sell that exhaust and put it toward your desired exhaust. I guarantee that its well worth it.
