Street legal exhaust?

I have a '95 v6 vert that I want to put an aftermarket exhaust on. I know that I want a dual exhuast. I have seen a lot of different options listed in the sticky post. I do have one big concern however. I know that there are laws governing what you can and can't do. I live in VA and I do have to pass emissions. I think that I'm going to get an adapter to turn my y-pipe into an h-pipe. After that I was thinking about a dual catback system. But I'm not sure what is street legal and what isn't. Also, I would like some advice as to what catback I should get. Anything I get MUST BE 100% STREET LEGAL. After that I'm looking for the best power gain possible. I also want to have a nice deep throaty american sound. I know that my 3.8 will never sound like a 5.0, but I know that it can sound better than stock. Also, I was wondering if I will need anything other than the adapter and the catback system? What kind of total price tag might I be looking at? Thanks

Check the sites for the exaust you want they should have the info if they would pass the emissions test or the 50 state legal.... It also comes to what your willing to spend Hedman headers for $199 I also got the Pypes performance X pipe w/cats from RPMoutlet.com And I allready had dual Flow 40's to add to it....Unless someone knows my car from the beginning they think it has a 302 or some v8 in it... plus it takes off like one Btw you would prob like the X over the H any day I had the H on mine I didnt get the performance or the sound I wanted..

just don't get or O/R midpipe and you will be fine. Basically just stay catted

the x pipe gives you the "raspy" sound and the h pipe is the "throaty" sound
