Steeda has the underdrive pulley for $264.00 as they replied to me the other day. Before I purchase for my 2006 and have local speed shop install, can someone tell me after it is installed, if the cars computer unit will sense this difference and adjust timing accordingly? I would appreciate any information.

you don't need to worry about the timing. Just have it installed and enjoy your newest mod.

I just wanted to make sure there was nothing hidden that would have to be done after installation by local shop. This board was most responsive to my question and thank you Stang6. The only other bolt on I have is S&B CAI which roars and gives the impression the car is really really fast. :) With the CAI bolt on have gone from 29 miles per gallon to 31 miles under normal driving 60-75mph with auto transmission. Car is a year old April 07 and just turned 36,000. Adding the underdrive pulley, maybe add a mile more per gallon with these high gas costs. Advice: Use a TRUE synthetic motor oil in your car and change every 10-12,000 miles. Happy motoring.

you can run off of regular oil for 10,000 no problem. my ford dealer tells me they have now increased the 5000 mile oil change to 7500 but he still tells me that 10000 is still fine but know one knows that its fine for that long.

and to your question of what he was saying yeah its true its called mobil 1 or royal purple

This is probably not the board, but have to reply. I have been using Mobil 1 since 1975 in the then Dodge Aspen Wagon. There are lab tests today provided on the internet that tells you results of synthetic vs conventional vs blends. May issue of MM&FF suggest owners to use synthetic. What it failed to mention was using a true synthetic as Purple and 1 are. This oil has been used in jet aircraft since early 60's. It will give you a liitle boost in HP and little in gas mileage too which is due less friction on moving parts. I put about 250,000 miles on my cars before upgrading and the old car still gets the same gas mileage as when bought new. I give my old car to one of my kids which is still new when bought after 7 years use. I'm 64 and talk with experience on these matters. :) Some people it is hard to convince, but read all you can about synthetic oil. Another point - I called the dealer with 35,000 miles on my 2006 for transmission fluid change and the Manager asked me for the VIN#. Said that my transmission is good for 150,000 or 5 years as is synthetic. Saved me $138.00. Rear axle is synthetic too. Time to move on and sorry for taking up so much space. Advice: Buy Pinnacles bug scrubber
