bad sounds under the 06
 

:shakeno: well sometimes at high rpms or when i go over a dip i hear a rattling sound coming from underneath the car. the dealer said they cant find anything wrong with it. has anybody had this problem or think they know what it could be? thanks

Here's a guess, mufflers and cats may have heat shields. Sometimes they can produce a rattle.:dunno:

There is a TSB for it.It has something to do with the hangers on the exhaust.

Our 06's have this wierd metal weight thing on our muffler and a couple random ones on the Y pipe. My muffler used to rattle before i took it out and put in a New one.
Either way you should put a new muffler on it because the 05+ V6's have a weak ass factory exhaust note

i put a jba muffler and headers on it already, i got plans to supercharge it later on and thats when i'll go true dual, they wanted about $2400 at my local shop to do a mac system and hell for that kinda of money i rather pay a lil more and bump it up to a bassani system but i dont think they make one for the V6 yet. as for the rattle sound it still hasnt gone away but playing really loud music has made it a lot less bothersome.

those weird metal weight things are suppose to dampen vibrations coming from the engine...or sumthin' like that. i was in the local dealerships shop a shortly after they came out and i asked the mechanic that...can't remember exactly what he said, but i believe it was sumthing to that effect.

check out the tail pipe where it goes over the rear axel. its probably hittin the frame.

No way should it be $2400 for a Mac exhaust. :o

The exhaust itself is under $500 and the install should be around $80.

well that was there total for a full true dual exuast with headers and everything and the gt rear trim thing
