upgrade breaks v6
Hello all,
I just upgraded the brakes on my 98 v6 and I wanted to know a liitle about the new roters. I was wondering if anyone here uses or has looked at and compared roters from Stoptech. WWW.stoptech.com. My original breaks and rotors were shot after 120k miles. I asked the my mechanic, good friend, and fellow firefighter to recommend some perfomance parts rather than going with OEM. He suggested stoptech, probably a recomendation from his supplier. I ended up with slotted and cross drilled rotors front and back and new metalic break pads. I paid $850.00, $78.00 was labor the rest parts and tax. So does anyone have experience with Stoptech? Thanks, Erik |
most people that upgrade their brakes on their mustang go with a cobra/bullitt brake kit. Stoptech makes nice stuff but its pretty expensive. You could of had Cobra front and rear calipers, rotors, pads, and stainless steel braided lines for the same cost.

:godamnit: Well, I do like how the breaks look through my bullet rims, and they perform very nicely while driving around Fort Lauderdale. Erik |
