1300-1500 ish depending on track conditions. I launched off idle the time I ran 9.1 in the 1/8 on a 75 shot and 8.9 with the 100 shot. Should have launched it damn it!

best thing you can do is "flash" the convertor. This is when you simpley wait at the tree when it goes green slam the gas to the floor. This will make the convertor "flash" or go to the highest stall your convertor will go to. This is the best way traction permetting. This will give higher stall rpm then power braking it.

I usually launch at about 1500, any more than that and I have problems with tire spin. Is there even a way to launch much higer with an auto?

LIke i said flashing will get it to go higher rpm then powerbraking it. Assuming the car has the power to do so. There are a few things like power and the way the fins are setup that determine stall speed.
