Hi all, I'm getting ready to by the 2007 Mustang V6.

I have the loan and trade-in details sorted out, test drove one today, and I'm getting ready to buy the 2007 Mustang V6. Are there any 05-07 Mustang V6 owners here? How do you like your car so far?

Has anyone driven your Mustang V6 on snow without ABS & Traction control? Most of the V6 model here doesn't have ABS & Traction Control installed, those that have it usually also come with the Pony package and leather seats, which cost additional $3k!

Any advice?

Thanks.

Welcome!

Yes I have a 06 V6 with the pony package and it is a nice ride. For a V6 it's actually fun to drive and there has been no problem's with it so far.

I actually drove it on the snow and ice last week while I left my Cobra nice and dry in the garage. It got around ok,it does have traction control though which helped alot.

What if I get one that doesn't come with traction control? Will I be okay? This will be my frist RWD car.

Also, does the factory put synthetics oil in it? Or is it special motor oil?

Hey Lances,

Could you tell me how did you remove the stock antenna, and where did you get that aftermarket one? Does it fit on the 07 Mustang?

Thanks

If your carefull you should be fine if it's an auto.

My Dealer's Servise Dept. uses Motorcraft oil.I think it's a 50/50 blend.

any ol 5w/20 motor oil will do fine in the new stangs. the 05+ are certainly much peppier than the last ones, at least on the butt-o-meter scale.

RWD cars require a good bit more respect and experience than FWD or AWD but with the limited power from the V6 you should be fine. Keep in mind that with your search for more power down the road you'll be more and more able to find trouble you can't get out of, so if you're going to drive hard and fast do yourself a favor and take a high performance driving class. You'd be amazed what you didn't know.

I bought my V6 07 Mustang 2 weeks ago and love it. Yes..i am concerned about snow, especially since Idont have Traction Control either.
But, since its a manual, I guess I can start in 2nd gear to avoid spinning the wheels on snow or ice..however road handling on the ice and snow concerns me.
I traded my AWD Volvo S60R in due to financial reasons..I had Mich Alpine Sport All Season tires on it, and am consodering them for my Mustang..but at $271 a tire.....hhhhmmmmm

time for studded tires. mustangs and ice are not good bedfellows pretty much ever.
