ok thx. does any1 know about the rims too?

bwesky 12-02-2006 07:41 AM

im gettign black cobra rims with those dimensions.. they should fit, seeing as the v6 is the same frame as g, cobra and so on

samustang2001 12-02-2006 08:37 AM

yea the rims will fit i have them on my stang

TClark22 12-02-2006 10:04 AM

yes the rims will fit and look damn good! just remember when getting the 18x10 in the rear you will need big tires which are damn expensive...you could go the route i did and do 18x9 all around and have the same size tire and be able to rotate the tires so they last longer

ok thanks tclark, thats what i'll do:worship2:

does anybody know if 18x10 rims with a +20 offset will work for all 4 tires on an 05 v6? im guessing they won't work in front because of turning issues... if they do work i'd go with 225/40/18 tires.

or would i be better off with some other rims... 18x9 up front (5.95 backspace +24 offset) and 18x10 in back (6.4 backspace +22 offset)? theres so many choices its hard to choose

TClark22 12-04-2006 12:25 PM

18x10's will not work up front but will out back...BUT 225 tires will not fit on either a 18x10 or 18x9...

for 18x9's the recommended size is 255-275

for 18x10's the recommended size is 285-315 (although u can fit 335)

Thanks Tclark... does the offset really matter all too much? or is there a range i should look for?

TClark22 12-04-2006 07:34 PM

i think +24 is the best fit for the front wheels...not sure for the back but the deepdish bullits are +28

232Mustang 12-06-2006 12:57 PM

can i install the gt hood scoop with the studs and nuts myself, or job for the shop?

im trying to buy some rims off ebay and the guy says they only fit 05+ mustangs... but i think he's just trying to make some extra money since his 05+ rims are twice the price. it says the wheel offset is 24mm, the backspacing is 5.95 inches and the bolt pattern is "5x4.5 or 5x114.3" theyre 18x9 which i know will fit for sure... can i buy these "2004" rims?
