HP and TQ #'s for a '02 saleen s281?
 

My cousin just got an 02 saleen in at his lot and he gave me a call its a vert white w/black top, and chrome wheels. Mileage at 43000. My cousin says "around" 18K. But if they are at around 300hp then im not so sure if I want it. Its all motor no SC. Still gonna keep my sixer tho.

N/A Saleen is over-rated... Well the motor anyways, it's a GT in disguise(sp?) Don't get me wrong... I think they are beautiful, but I woudln't invest in it unless it were a S351. 281 is too much like a GT for me and doesn't quite fit the price. I'd say 300 is pretty close, if not a little less.

Stock 281's don't even come close to the 300 mark sadly. 250-260ish is the average...

Yeah except for suspension, body kit, and depending on options brakes, seats, and of course the blower.

not all of them have blowers

Some 281's have the blower. All 351S's have the blower I believe.

S281 comes with U/D pulleys, Borla Exhaust, and I believe an aftermarket air filter, but not CAI, just the filter.

S281SC depends on year. I believe 99-02 had Series II blower (Eaton) and 03+ had series IV (Whipple) Those were rated at 375 HP. Built bottom end with steel crank.

The Extreme had a higher end Whipple blower plus full out built motor with forged crank(500HP.

All had the same suspension set up but the Extreme's and SC also included sway bar and something else I believe. Also many more options were available.

Not all S351s had the blower, they had to be an R optioned S351 to have the blower. Most people put blowers on the S351 to make it an R replica, since saleen used vortech for the superchargers on those cars.

Yeah thats why I said depending on options it could have brakes, blower, seats, etc.

Only the S-281 SC has the blower regual S-281 is n/a.
