need intake advice quick

im about to buy a volant intake for my v6 it says it gives 18hp and 40lbs of torque is it legit because the k&n gives 6.93 and i know those are good i dunno what to get any opinions please post them

Never heard of volant, but unless it somehow compresses the air and forces it into your engine then there's no way you'll get that many horses. My guess is that it's a rip off. Go with a cheaper CAI.

well i have heard of volant and i know people who have them. The only thing that i can see from the 2 are the k&N is not a cold air intake its a short ram and they only make quick hp but the volant is a cai and it has a heat sheild and it has a lot of crome on it. the k and n is kust there good filter on a plastic tube.
i would go with a genaric brand it doesnt matter the only thing that matters in the filter, and u can just add that on the the genaric tubing
