are you talking about teh coupler that connects the TB to the CAI?

dominicano19 09-30-2006 07:34 AM

No, the throttle body

dominicano19 09-30-2006 07:37 AM

yeah, my fault, that blue thing that goes on the throttle body, can't get it to fit

mustangvsix 09-30-2006 09:44 AM

well i would venture to guess that the coupler that comes in the kit is made for the stock throttle body, and since you bought a bigger throttle body it is going to be hell to stretch to get it over, you should just go buy a bigger coupler at autozone...

or pry it on with a screw driver :)

There's no way in hell that coupler will fit over a 65mm TB. It takes a nice shove to get it over a stock one. Take mustangvsix's advice and run to AAP or Autozone and pick up a coupler that'll fit the tube and the TB.

Thanks alot ya'll, i'll do that. go to aap and see what i can get

BTW, a TB is worth no power on your car, and may just make it idle worse.

A larger TB would help you since you've got the turbos wouldn't it?

Teal_Beast 10-02-2006 04:32 PM

doubt it.

if i have a 80mm TB and a 60MM intake outlet do you think im going to get anymore horsepower then a 60mm tb and a 60mm outlet?

SlicK 10-02-2006 07:31 PM

Didn't realize you only had a 60MM outlet. I say you upgrade on both ends and get that baby suckin' and blowin' some serious O2. :moreboost:

oh i dont know that the TB/Inlet is 60mm im just giving an analogy, whatever they are, they are so closely matched that the restriction isnt removed untill you do both.
