Lowering Springs
I have a 2004 V6 Vert that I would like to lower a couple inches without loosing to much ride comfort. I have heard that H&R lowering springs are nice but their $225.00. I found some American made lowering springs on E-Bay with a LifeTime Gaurantee for about $100.00 from Dynamic Racing Products. Any suggestions. Oh by the way, the car has 18" Bullitt wheels with 255/40/18 tires. Looks awsome, but needs to be lowered a few inches. Please help with any advice you can. Thank you. Drive-On :o

To me you get what you paid for.You could go with some no name spring's from EBay or get the proven H&R's for the win!!
|
Thanks, I'm sure your right. For a small price difference it's not worth the risk. Do you have any photos of your car I can view to see how much the H&R's lowered it? Drive-On

Hello Lance03. Thanks for the great photos. Your car looks sweet.
One last question. Did you need to install Caster/Camber plates? Thanks again for your help. Drive-On |
No I did'nt.Been on for over 2 years and still rides and drives perfect.
|
yeah man H&R's on the 6bangers are the same, I got pix of my 03 V6... just go with the H&R they're a lil more, but in the long run they will save you, and it's SUCH a great ride... as for CC plates, yea u should get them, but they're not absolutely necessary, so if you need like a month to save up again for them, "cuz install rates on springs is high as ****" u'll be fine...

Don't forget the shocks and struts. The H&R's are going to kill those stockers...

thats a split school of thought and also depends on how many miles your stockers already have on them. But springs will wear out the stock shocks and struts quicker.
|
determined...dont worry about the shock and struts now...considering your car like mine is an 04 sixer...so shocks and struts are pretty damn new!

Hey man I gotta take care of my father's bank loan, **** right? =P Don't go much lower than what I have, either of you, they're good springs but if you got bumpy roads... not worth it.
