UDP & Posi-Trac installed

Just got back from the shop. I had the UDP and posi-trac/t-lok installed.

It took about 5 hrs and was NOT cheap...lol.

I'm thinking about ordering an x-cal 2 and wanted to get some feed back. Is it worth the cost for a mostly stock car (auto trans)?

What can I expect IF I get it?

Thanks :punk:

Don't bother with the xcal till you get some gears or some serious mods. I remember the day my dad took my car to get my 4.10's and t-lok installed, I was in school all day. My dad calls me around 3pm and tells me that he just smoked a V6 Acura, I forget what they're called now... I got in the car when I got home and gave it a run... I had a smile on for a week straight because of the huge change.

damn you had a posi put in but not new gears, that would of been the time to do a gear swap also.

yeah, I decided to keep my stock 3.31 gears cause I have an 80 mile round trip to/from work and most of that is highway. Plus, I drive from Houston, Tx to Baton Rouge, La fairly often.

I didn't want to pull high RPM,s for extended periods of time. Too much wear and tear on the motor.

If this wasn't my daily driver I would have def put in a set of 4.10's.

I was curious about the x cal 2. A guy with a stock GT tuned his and said it was like night and day. He couldn't believe the difference it made...quicker throtle responce, firmer shifts and more power after 70 MPH. Would it be similar for our sixers?

Have any of yall done this on a stock sixer? If so, what difference did you notice.

3.73's and it just a few more hundred RPM gain at 70mph, and it would help your gas mileage in town, less mechanial force to move your car, as long as your not gunning it from redlight to redlight. at least you have 2 tires spinning.

The XCal II with the CAI package that I have seen give's very nice HP increases in the 05/06 V6's from what I've read.

if you go check out v6power.net there is a thread in the 4.0l section by Justin00v6, he tuned a stock 4.0l then with exhaust + CAI etc, it made some good power, you should check it out

edit: here it is

he did a buncha work on his girlfriends '05 v6

i cant belive how much extra power it made without the muffler on there.

Teal_Beast 05-16-2006 07:06 AM

yup, the 4.0l's are beasts, if it wasnt for the swiss cheese heads it would be insaine

spike_africa 05-16-2006 07:53 AM

the on guy on there with the yellow one says he made 7 rwhp over the magnaflow. lol i really doubt a muffler got you 17rwhp.
