Pros and cons about DD tires vs regular
I'll start with the cons:
cost more requires rims that cost more can't rotate with front tires doesnt last as long bc of not bein able to rotate not a great jump in traction thats worth the price now please give your pros or cons. |
Pro's...
Looks awesome. Got too love the big tire in the rear. Adds 150 HP :) |
danny , dont be a woman about DDs or ill do you know what
D/Ds > everything else, screw rotating tires, your cars not a minivan cost more? lol cost me 20 bucks a tire more HUGE jump in traction, are you joking me? looks amazing fromt he side and DEF the rear |

ok, when I am suddenly ridden of ALL bills and the $1200+ I make per month can go solely on modding my car, THEN I'll stop being a woman. But for now, just remember that not everyone is as fortunate as you. |
I work my butt off....pay for college, housing, food. And i'm getting myself a set in January.......your being a woman...or should I say not because even a woman would jump on DD...so wheres that leave you?...lol

What hole? You are a prime example of someone that I will likely never meet. Even if I did, I could not care any less about you whining about me not having DD's. Everybody's financial status is different. If someone new comes on here with an 85 v6, are u gona tell him "shoulda got a 5.0" or if someone shows their nicely modded 98, are u gonna say "woulda been better to put the money in a 99+ or an 05+" Would u really say that? I'd sure hope not.

Danny, dont worry about them. Do what you think is best for you. Whether that is keeping the stock wheels you have on your car now, or buying 24k gold 22's that say bling bling when you drive. I also thought about getting the non deep dish rims, but to be honest, my tires for the deep dishes are cheaper than most regular 245-275 tires. At 110 bucks a tire, I figure, even if I have to replace them, its not that bad. Also, another advantage is that my car is very fun in the rain now. I dont spin all the time, or get loose when its wet out. Do what you want. If you want deep dishes, get them, if not, dont. If it takes you 6 months to finally get the whole package together and mounted like it did me, who cares. Its worth it in the end.

con:
DD's will actually harm performance unless you're making enough power to use all that tire. my car is a perfect example. pro: they look sweet |
im getting deep dishes in teh back with Nitto DR 315 sized tires. I need the extra traction cause im getting 4.10's, in the spring. I didnt go to the track that much this past season cause my 245 sized Nitto Street tires Suk at traction. with just my basic mods and dyno tune. I could only imagine launching with the tires I have now if I had 4.10's right now......sssppppiiiiiinnnnnnnnn. :(
plus...black bullitt deep dish rims look bad ass on a black stang. |

Pros:
Looks Looks Looks Corner better...hold the road. Improved traction. Cons: Adds weight! That is the only real con when you can get the rims for so cheap and the tires for $110, price is really not much of an issue especially when you need tires anyway. |
theyre worse in the rain atually
there is a bigger contact patch so the bigger the tires the easier it is to hydroplane |

To each their own. It just gets ridiculous when any time someone gets rims and doesn't get DD's, everyone is on their case about it.
