Default New wheels coming soon!

Yeah yeah yeah i know i know, i up n disappeared. But i've had alot going on. I lost my mom to lung cancer on april 19th, and i've been tryin to get back to some degree of normal for a while now. Anyhow, the Bullitt is once again in need of tires (imagine that!) so i figured why not get wheels too while i'm at it, and i can't decide if i wanna just go with 17x9/17x10.5 bullitts or if i want FR500's. And then! if i go with the FR500's, which color/size. So... how bout some input ya'll?

I was leaning towards the black chrome fr's but they only come in 18's n i think i wanna stick with 17's for the wider rear tire.

Wider? You mean taller.

As for that, your car doesn't really need a taller tire on the rear. If you get a good set of tires (ie. not Sumihomos) then they will hook even with 18s.

I voted for black chrome. It looks sick on that green.

So r the 18x10's as wide as the 17x10.5's? And does it matter that my car is lowered? I don't wanna run into any rubbing issues. I realllllllllllly like the black chrome 18's I just was leaning away from them cuz I thought they aren't as wide.

I wouldn't go with black wheels on DHG. I don't know if it's your daily driver or not but I have heard the black chrome starts to flake off. I voted Anthracite Bullitts but Anthracite FR500's would be a close second.

You can run a 305 tire and it will be more then enough rubber for your car.

If you roll your fenders you won't have to worry about rubbing with any of the wheels you've talked about. If you don't roll them it may be close. I had a VERY minor issue with my 315's and lowering springs but I only partially rolled the fenders and I'm good now.

Ahhhhh hell with it. I'm just too damn impatient to wait for the 18's to come back in stock. I ordered 17x10.5 bullitts for the back. I'll get the fronts when its time for tires up there! Went ahead n ordered the Roush Stage 3 body kit with exhaust kit, and a Mach 1 CDC shaker hood kit as well. And the whole car is gonna get a bright shiny new coat of paint! Yay me

Yeah well... I've always liked the Roush Stage 3's. Its just a bad *** look with the side exhaust n front fascia. And I've been battling back and forth over a couple different hoods for a while, and it just hit me... why not a shaker hood? Its clean, functional, bad *** yet not overstated. As for the wheels... well, that flat came down to pure impatience. lol It's prolly gonna take a couple weeks to a month to get it all done n did but no doubt, there will be pics for proof as soon as it all comes together. I think its gonna be a mean look for the Bullitt. At least i hope anyhow, cuz i just spent a damn FORTUNE! LMAO!

I sure didn't hit the lottery, and the money i am getting came at a huge cost which i'd give it all back to have my mom still here. And thanks cousin. I am thankful she went quickly without a long drawn out painful fight.

Thats all that matters then.

Big they are but your poll never had much in the way of Bullitts in it

What I`m saying is I thought it was a FR500 winner

In saying that, its a safe bet

Hell, I like um. I always thought that the stock wheels weren't bad, just needed to be wider. Now tape off the fronts and remove the clearcoat from the lips and polish them up and you got something! I wouldn't put 9's on the front I would leave them as is. Just clean everything up and paint all the brake parts.

Those big ol meats on the back are going to look good with the body kit! I like the stance now.

Eh thats too much work tho Bubba! lol i just came in from cleaning up the fronts. I'm still a ways away from needing fronts so ill decide new wheels up there or not when the time comes. But yeah i'm happy as **** with the stance now. Plus it looks like it put the *** end up in the air a bit which will give me plenty of clearance for them new side pipes As for the calipers, yeah they need painting badly. I might see what the shop will charge to hit em while they got it.

They look great. How well does the finish match the stock fronts? It's hard to tell in the pics.
