WHAT WHEELS SHOULD I GET!?

1 Attachment(s)
Ok its pretty much time for new tires. My buddy has an 89 fox and it had the stock wheels on it. Then he switched out to chrome cobra r replicas and I saw how the chrome wheels made the car look like a whole different car! I have the anthracite 17x9s on my 95 GT right now but I'm scouring everywhere looking for some chrome 18s.

Im thinking about chrome bullitts(deepdish or regs), saleens, roush and cobra Rs.

Wanting some opinions on what I should get and what would fit. I found a guy about 20min ago selling roush 18s with 7K miles on them and he is 50 min from me so that would be awesome so I'm awaiting a response from him. (They are shown below)

Please answer the poll and post your opinions here, along with a pic of the wheels on your 94-98 mustang so I can see what it looks like.

Here is a pic of my car and the wheels im looking at.

HEY MODS MY BAD, CAN YOU MOVE TO WHEEL AND TIRE TALK?

LilMissLayla 04-21-2009 02:04 PM

I love Saleen wheels.

Steeda97 04-21-2009 02:11 PM

Get the 18x9, 18x10 Chrome Saleens and your car will be the shit.

If the Roush wheels are a good enough deal, go with them. They are sick too.

i agree for the most part i just want some outside opinions too. those roushs are off an 07 roush stang. this may be a stupid question but they will work fine on my 95 correct?

No they won't without some sort of modification.

no springs. daily driver sun, rain, SNOW.

year round mustang so drop in MI wouldnt be a wise choice unless i find a beater this summer

mustangman95gt 04-21-2009 02:51 PM

hmmm...would 18x9 saleens from an 03 saleen work? or would i have to mod those as well?

SeanStang 04-21-2009 03:54 PM

You'd need some spacers if you were to get the Roush wheels, they'll be sunken far in without them. Depends on the price of the Roush wheels, but for now my vote goes for Saleens.

krenogin 04-21-2009 05:18 PM

ill buy your old ones

ya i guess it depends on the price. still waiting for his response. i looked up spacers on AM and they are $99 for 2 billit ones...im sure i can find them cheaper somewhere right? assuming 1 inch spacers is good enough

Deathdiesel 04-21-2009 06:27 PM

I got 1 inch on my 17x8s and they make my tires look like 9s or 10s. I wouldnt go with 2, maybe a 1.5.

mustangman95gt 04-21-2009 08:33 PM

hmm it appears everyone is supporting saleens!! i found a nice pair but two problems...there are off a parts car in a salvage yard, and the other is that salvage yard is in georgia!!

im calling about them tomorrow

mustangman95gt 04-22-2009 09:33 AM

what does anyone think about those ^^^ pass or buy? everyone is saying saleens!! these are real so i wonder how much they want. ill find out later!

any other opinions? i was strongly thinking chrome bullitts for awhile but i like the saleens so now im not sure.

anyone have pics of a 94-98 stang with saleens!?!?!

mustangman95gt 04-23-2009 11:16 AM

ok so i need more help. im pretty sure i decided on saleens so does anyone know a good place to get them cheap? or if anyone knows someone trying to sell some saleens(wheels or wheels/tires)

Steeda97 04-23-2009 12:04 PM

1,278 at American Muscle with discount for 18x9/18x10, and 265/285 Sumitomos.

LilMissLayla 04-23-2009 01:13 PM

I want to make a trip up there one weekend.

krazypony 04-24-2009 09:51 AM

Thats not the same as MPS is it? I know they were up for sale last year, but didnt follow to see what happened with that?

RWOOD126 04-24-2009 11:31 AM

I'm about 30 minutes away from them ....Prestige Mustang, Clarkston Ga.

as i expected the prices are high. they most likely charge a crazy amount to pull a part for you, even tho it may only be a matter of 15-30min
