Widest tire on stock 18" rim
I can't even take it. My parents won't let me change rims on my mustang (which is no big deal, I have the five spoke 18"s0. But, I can't even bear to look at my mustang on 235/45/18's. They look like friggen bicycle tires! My old mustang was sitting on 315/35/17's, and 275's in the front. I'm problably going to stagger the tires, for a meaner muscle look.
Are they 18x8's or 18x7.5s or 18x8.5's? What is the widest tire I can put on the rear wheels of my mustang? |
What wheels?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/byone/3150180021/ except they have the black inlay on the inner part

ah yes the fan blades
prolly go up to a 245 and drop the sidewall to 40...a quick google search will prolly answer your question though. |
Id do 255/40/18. if they are 8.5'' you can go 275.
|
They're 18x8.5 I think. I got the premium with the Bullit style wheels and that's what mine are. I'd just wait for some new wheels. A real fat tire on a skinny rim looks real fucking stupid in my opinion.....

you can squeeze 275's on a 8" rim.

^ O.o

I was thinking around 275 would be max. I think I'm gonna roll with a 255 or 265, the 275 will bulge way to much if it turns out to be an 8" rim.
|
dude...stop guessing...pull a wheel off and look at the stamping on the inside that shows what size it is.
|
I'd go 245/45.. Best overall.
|
I didn't know that it is possible to pull the wheel off and know. I'm gonna go ride the short bus now.
|
They are 18x8.5 and a 275 will fit out back no problem. I run 275s out back on 8" wheels they have a slight bulge and I like the look.

Thanks a million spike!

You don't want that much sidewall bulge. It will lead to poor handling. |
right.

Gonna roll with a 265. Thanks everyone!
