I've never had to deal with snow, but from what I've seen ppl usually get a set of winter rims/tires and store there good set till spring.

My rims have done well in a little bit of snow. It hasn't been in a blizzard (and hopefully won't experience that), but it's handled up to 3'' and salty/sandy roads. I just keep them clean. When I'm done driving around, I park my car in my garage (which is fairly warm all times of the year) and when the car is garage temp-ish, I'll pour luke-warm water on the rims to wash off the crap. I absolutely refuse to wipe it down. You'll ruin them real quick doing that.

I live up in maine and I have 18" Cobra R wheels on my mustang. You should definately get a set if you have the cash, makes your mustang look more custom. Keep your stock set and when the cold weather comes around switch your rims out for your stock set until the snow is gone!

i live in ky,, we get some decent snows, but the county lays salt piles sooo thick u can hit them and almost wreck...i had 20 inch chrome wheels,, it ate them up i had to send em back in,, but my mach 1's the salt doesnt even bother them where they are aluminum with clear coat,, they are OEM tho.. But i wouldnt use pretty wheels during winter time,, unless its constantly winter where u live then u have no choice.. i have winter and summer wheels.

Salt will eat away at the chrome unless you wash them. If you have anything with a clear coat it'll be ok, but you'll still want to wash it every now and then.
