Shot in the dark ...

Question regarding my application for my car ...

So, basically, I'm kind of working on a project to throw a Kenne Bell on my '03 Cobra as a daily driver option. I'm probably going to go with some meatier tires once I finish this project, but my RWHP range will ideally be in the 500-600 range (haven't ironed everything out).

Anywho, for that range of power, I'm pretty sure my Firehawk Wide Oval 275's will not cut it (stock rims, stock wheel size, 275/40), so I'm wanting to go bigger. I love the look of 315's on the '03 models, but I've read conflicting reports that a 17x10.5 deep wheel won't fit properly w/ the stock IRS bolts (I think the site suggested I buy replacements).

Any word on that? Also, will I get decent water performance with the Nitto 555's (non-R version) in a 315 size tire? I'll probably be driving this thing daily for a while.

Thanks for any help/advice (if 315 is overkill, just let me know, hah).

they have the bolts you seek and can provide other suspension info. 315 is almost 300 bucks a tire to start... consider that they last about 12-15K on average and decide if you can afford spending a grand on tires every 6 months. With a 315 you'll have to roll the outer fender lip and beat the edges back on the inner fender well.

Nittos are a warm weather tire, that said I liked how they felt in the rain when I used em.
