advice for tire sizes

okay, as all mustang owners know mustangs squat in the back end naturaly. . . well im looking at buying the Chrome 2003 Style Cobra Wheel - 4 Lug 87-93 (17x9) rims. and i actualy was thinking... do i get 2 18's for the back and 2 17's for the front to get it to tilt the nose down a bit instead of squating so much... or go with all 4 rims as 17's and getting low pros in front and then tires with a bit more sidewall on them for the back so that it gives the impression that the back tires are a little bigger than the front tires. any advice would be awesome. im knew into the mustang world but man i feel in love fast :) by the way this is for a 1992 mustang Gt hatchback with a cobra body kit on it.

rake angle should be controlled by suspension setup NOT by wheel size. If you want the front end lower or the rear end higher then adjust one or the other. You can lower the front pretty easily with lowering springs (or coil over if you want the easiest ride height changes in history), or you can jack up the back and improve your launches with aftermarket rear lower control arms with adjustable spring perches. Then if you want a 18" wheel in back you can do that for the aesthetics at the wheel well opening and not for changing the angle of the cars front end.

You can also install a rear coil over kit which will allow you to change the rear ride height in seconds per side. I recommend using the coil over method. Then you can adjust any time in just a few minutes (I do it about weekly).

Go with Maximum Motorsports for the coilovers if you go that route. For rims and tires, you can get all the same size or wider ones in the rear. Don't get 17" in the front and 18" in the back though. The type of rims is compleatly up to you, try to stay with a Mustang specific type of rim. I think your gona end up beling limited on styles since you a 4-lug unless you do the 5-lug conversion.
