what size rims do i need for my 2001 v6 mustang? the tires are stock so yeah. i was just wanting to put new rims on. 17x9? 18x9?

if your putting the same size rims all the way around just get the 18x9s all around.

stock tires are not going to fit safely on a new rim... you need to upgrade both

kk, what do you think i'd need? or whats a good tire from AM.com? what do you reccomend? could i get these in the front and these in the rear ?

Dave04Mustang 01-10-2008 07:08 PM

AM.com tells you the best fitting tires for each certain size rim so I won't go through all of them. You won't be able to use the stock tires unless you already have a 17" rim on the car which most likely is not the case.

kk but can i get 17x9 in the front and 17x10.5 in the rear?

WaterDR 01-10-2008 07:33 PM

Sure. They fit fine and look great.

V6_Mustang_Power 01-10-2008 07:57 PM

kk thanks :)

V6_Mustang_Power 01-10-2008 08:39 PM

what would be a good Rim ratio?

front: 17x8, 17x9, 17x10.5, 18x9?
Rear: 18x9 or 18x10 or 17x10.5?

and Price wont matter.

Dave04Mustang 01-10-2008 08:45 PM

I like 17x9 in the front and 17x10.5 in the rear

V6_Mustang_Power 01-10-2008 08:53 PM

kk thanks and i'm not wanting my car to look like a friggin 4x4 efin tonkatruck. lmao. so i think i'll go with the 17x9 & 17x10.5 :)
