wheels and Tires

this spring i plan on getting some black bullitt wheels. i was thinking of puting 17x8s in the front and 18x9s in the back.

what do you guys think go wider and put 17x8s and then 18x10s? and if i put the wider wheel in the back will that hurt the performance?

this car is my daily driver so what tires do you guys think i should get. i was thinking of getting sumitomo all season HTR+ so i could get them mounted by

American muscle becouse thats where i would get the wheels to. what do you guys think?

the wider rim in the back will improve performance. But going with the 18 greatly increases tire prices, just something to consider

If you are going with a 18 on the rear you should consider a 18x10.It would look alot better.

This goes in tire/wheel talk section, Moving...

There is nothing wrong with that setup but like they said tire prices are going to be higher. The larger and wider rim will help with traction (depending on what tires you have now and what you go to) but the extra weight of the heavier rim and tire combo will hurt performance. Its why i just stick with stock bullitts and add drag radials to them. But its a trade off you should consider.

Exactly. Taking into consideration his engine and mods (basically none), theres NO reason he should need a wider tire. Moving to a wider tire and 18" rims will greatly hurt his performance.
