315 on 9"

has anyone ever put a 315 on a 9" rim for track only? 315 drag radial? Yes i know that 275 is best fitting, BUT, i know spike puts a 275 on a 8", what about 315 on a 9"?

too big for the rim. I wouldnt do it. but maybe if you are just going straight it would matter less.

i know it could be done ... i almost had them put on mine but didnt feel like gettin bigger in the back without dd

my 315's bulge out fairly far on my 10.5 inch wheels. the bulge would be huge on a 9 inch wheel. my 275's on the 9 inch wheels bulge even more than the rears.

oh ok i was just curious. Spike has a 245 on a 8", 7" tires get 225...so thats a 20mm differanceso for a 9"rim(275) going up 40mm i was wondering if it was too much. A little meat is cool, but if it would be TOO much, or not safe then i wouldnt do it. But some 315's arent as "wide" as others.

305 or 315 nitto drags will fit the cobra guys do it alot but 315 nittos even are pushing it, a 305 nitto drag radial would work and like i said the cobra guys do it alot with stock rims.

Here is a 17x9 with 315 nitto drags:

Bulge is about the same as my 275's on stock 17x8" wheels.

If you want optimal traction, then 315 is way too big for a 9" rim. As with cams, bigger isnt always better.
