Default Speedometer and tire size

yeah ok im only 16 years old and i have a 2005 mustang coupe. and i have saved my money so far to buy wheels for my car. now my dad is a mechanic and he knows well that the tire size will throw the speedometer off if the tires are too big. i was looking at going from my 16"s to 20"s. im looking at getting the rims shown here http://www.americanmuscle.com/verde-...ome-wheel.html would these rims throw off my speedometer alot or not at all. anyone give me an estimate around how much it would throw my speedometer off?

The wheels alone won't affect your speedo, the tire size you choose to go w/ the wheels will. What tire combo were you going to use w/ them?

Using the calculater here (http://www.allfordmustangs.com/Detailed/637.shtml), as long as your stock tires were 215/65-16, then your overall tire diamerter would change by .03", which probably would only affect your speedo by 1mph.
