Lowering...

Quick question.... I looked up some stuff on the forum about this but I'm still not sure... If I get some HR Super Sport Springs will I have to get different shocks and struts for them to go on the car properly?

Nope...

CC Plates are recommended but not needed either.

GTFO.

j_gutta: You don't HAVE to get new Shocks/Struts, but your factory set will wear out much faster with the additional travel and abused by being compressed harder. You will need C/C plates for the SS springs, unless you like lots of camber and uneven tread wear on your front tires.

No, you don't need shocks and struts. Just the springs.

What Stephen said about the CC plates is correct, but if you want to save your tires and get your car back into factory specs, you'll probably need them. The H&R SS springs lower damn near 2", so you might have to get CC plates to be able to get a proper alignment. With that much of a drop, your rear might shift a little, so you might have to get an adjustable panhard bar to correct it.

I want a chin spoiler so I'm not sure how low I want to go yet. How are the control arms working out for you?

If you go that low, I'd advise against a chin spoiler. I'm sitting at 1.5" lowered and I can just make it over the tops of the parking stoppers, curbs and the like. And as you know, I do not have a chin spoiler.

The LCA's are awesome. Car hooks a hell of a lot better now.

I think I will go with the Eibach Pro Kit... Only 1.5 inches...

You don't race, or even go WOT, how do you know?... :p

....runs & hides.

j_gutta870 08-05-2009 09:51 AM

What does "WOT" mean?

You big turd! :p I don't race, but I do go WOT. I've only had the opportunity to do so twice since the LCA's were installed, but I can definitely tell a difference.
