sub frame connectors

Does anyone in the richmond area know of a reasonable place to get sub frames installed? What kind of dollar amount ?

These things are chep as hell to install if you get the short ones. They just bolt and weld right up. $50 to $75 labor tops.

On a near stock car or even a vert with some power, the short ones are fine. They will leave the stock ones in I believe too.

The full length require a lot more work as the rear seats have to be pulled.

I put full lenght MM sub frame conn. on my 2000 GT convertible. Made a HUGE difference. I paid $100 for the installation, since I don't weld. I don't recall them having to pull the back seat.

I had the MM powdercoated full-length ones installed for around $125 as I remember. Nothing had to be pulled out from the inside of the car. It is important with welding that the welder allows cooling time and moves around while welding them on so as to not catch anthing on fire inside the car. There are horror stories of this out there.

A welder should do this regardless of fire hazards or not since if you weld for too long on one side w/o any cooling period, you're bound to warp something.
