b springs vs. c springs

Can anyone please tell me the difference?

There is a pair of B springs for sale near me for $100 new and I want to know if I should get them because AM is now selling their C springs for $170!!!

.....just waiting for r3d to chime in lol

they are similar but the front spring rates are different. The B springs are more of a firm spring I guess you could say more stiff. It will effect the ride comfort a little. IMO I would stick with the C or the F spring. The C spring has a nicer ride than the B and lowers it about the same. F spring is more of an aggressive drop with 1.5" all around. Not sure if that helps you at all I'm sure r3d will have more info

b's are softer. I like B's where the roads are super shitty. C's are best where the roads are a little smoother and for people who aren't so ride sensitive. C's are about identical to Steeda Sports or H&R SS.

For 100 bucks it's a bargain but B's are so close to stock that I generally recommend F springs to anyone considering B's.

I'd spend the extra 70 bones and find some C's OR if you want to save money:

Find the stock front springs from a 03-04 cobra and the rear springs from a Mach1 or Bullit. Chop 1/8-1/4 coil off the top (and not a damn bit more) from the springs and you're golden. Lowered 1.25" on good springs for almost no money. Done it a few times. Works great.
