Okay your right i don't know. But if i were to know, i'd probably say, Yes you should get new shocks/struts, as you'll need them eventually after the new springs wear the ones you have now out. And i'd probably say, Caster/Camber plates aren't as important as new shocks/struts that can handle the new springs, but CC plates are a nice thing to have. But i wouldn't take it into consideration, cuz i don't know anything.

Oh, and C Springs aren't too great for daily driving.

Well what i meant by search was that its in like 30 different threads. And the exclamation point was because you've been here a long time and i figured you'd know better.

But my 2 cents is grab some Mach 1/Bullitt take offs, and some type of "sport" spring and you'll be good to go. Thats what im doing early december.

Cheddarbob 10-09-2007 05:33 PM

well IMO the search feature sucks and doesnt work.
I went into search this part of the fourm and typed FRPP c springs and it tells me that is to short of a word.:confused:

Keep a look out on the forums for a set of used springs. I got a set of steeda sport springs for $175 and all the person did was test fit them they look brand new. I'm sure if you looked around you could even find a better deal than that.

I did pick up some shocks and struts from a dealer off of corral.net. I got a set of tokico hp's for fox body (the struts are shorter and I was told that was good for a lowered 99-04) for $290. I have 2 friends that lowered their cars one with the same steeda springs the other with trick 1 springs both lower about the same and they didn't need caster camber plates. I wouldn't get them until you get everything on and figure out if you really need them.

Cheddarbob 10-09-2007 06:34 PM

well if i have to replace the struts im not going to do it now

Steeda97 10-09-2007 08:25 PM

Well, you don't HAVE to, but you should.

I don't have personal experience with the mustang be lowered with stock shocks and struts but I have had a lowered car in the past on stockers. You will not like the ride at all. I've learned from my past experices that's why this time I waited to find good deals on what I wanted so that I could buy it all at once instead of saying eh I'll do that later. Thats what I told myself with my previous car but I didn't have a good paying job and never ended up getting the shocks and struts. Why not just save a little bit more and get it all at once. Especially if you're paying someone to install...that would be a waste of money to have them do it later down the road. Just my .02 cents.

Also you don't want to blow your stock shocks and struts because what happens when you go to sell your car and want to return it to stock? You have to buy stock shocks and struts because the others are blown. More money down the drain...

I have a set of c-springs off of my 04 GT it a box ready to ship. They have roughly 500 miles on them and are in like-new condition. Shipped to you via UPS Ground for $105.

I had them installed with factory cc plates and stock springs before I added MM CC plates. They rode good in my opinion.

Let me know.
