What is your favorite Springs
 

With this criteria in mind, which springs would you select...

* Daily driver Car
* Wanting maximum drop (without sacrificing ride quality)

With this combination will be adding:
- mm cc plates
- bilstein HD struts/shocks
- Rear LCAs
- Subframe connectors (for added stability)

H&R Race springs. look at my sig...my mods are similar as to what you plan to do suspension wise.

you car will handle very well after all that.

You have the same color as mine too.
Can you show me some side photos to get a visual on the drop.
While MM recommended the HR Race I was questioning it cause of the spring rate. I was thinking the HR Sport would be more appropriate for me due to them being a little more mild for the street. Also the drop was a fraction more I believe. I can tell you though, no matter what one decides to go with ...someone else will recommend opposite of what you have. :godamnit:

Oh one other thing, would you happen to have pictures or instructions regarding the subframe connectors? I was curious as to where they get welded. I wanted to get an idea of this before buying them.

here are some pics taken the other day. the Race springs don't give as much of a drop as the SS's. I like the fact that the car isn't totally "slammed." I never worry about scraping much of anything. I will say the Race springs will REALLY stiffen up the ride...highway undulations can get annoying...but these springs REALLY help the car handle well.

I don't have a picture of my SFC's installed though...but what are you worried about with them as far as placement?

Your car looks nice man... The body looks identical to mine minus the wheels.
I am looking for just a bit more of a drop, or if my drop was similar to yours I would fill it in using a set of 18 inch wheels. That would be an entire new project to research... I know there are a lot of different combinations out there.. Some of the mustangs that I have seen with like a 1/2 to 1 inch clearance between their fender and tire where running like 265x45x18 in front and like 285/295x45x18 in back.. This seemed to be a pretty tight combination. Don't get me wrong though, your car looks awsome the way it is.. I'm just describing my preference on the drop.

As for the SFC's, even though I wouldn't be the one welding them on I still like to understand the mechanics behind them and want to make sure the instructions are clear for the welder who I take them to be done.

Can you tell my your description of the ride quality from the way it was stock opposed to now with the HR Race Springs and such?

compared to stock it feels very very solid and very stable. I'll put it this way...I need better seats with more side bolstering. and I wish my dead pedal was bigger.

I suggest you find a shop that deals with Mustangs when you have the SFC's installed. dont just go to a welding shop and have it done.

Yeah I thought about that, but then thought maybe like a muffler shop where they have more experience welding all day could do a better job if they had the instructions. These mustang specialty shops don't specialize in welding.
They just charge you more cause they are deemed a specialty mustang shop.
Just my thought.

Here is kind of the stance I am looking for... But probably with tires that are not quite this wide in the front.. This guy looks like he has 285's in the front.

Now with my car color in mind, I thought this was a good representation of what I want mine to look , but want just a bit lower in the back... If this one could be about as low in back as it is in the front and with not quite as wide of tires in the back (Cause they are sticking out a bit to much) it would be perfect in my opinion.

The Race springs like I have would not drop it as much as you say you want if the pic here is still too high in the back. If you are def going with 18's though it would fill up the gap more.

the black mustang you posted a pic of looks like he's got Sumitomo HTRZ's...in 275/40/17...not 18's. Those are exactly the tires I run in the front.

Yeah, what I want and what I get may be 2 different things.
I will just have to see what it look like when done and do the best I can to make it look right with new wheels... It is hard for me to see your tires in the pictures you provided due to the shadows. Your tire width sounds like just about what I want though :).
