Removed swaybar + rain = Almost Died!!

OMG I just removed the swaybar a week ago and it seemed ok in the dry. I was driving home and it was raining today. The car felt like the front was just wandering all over the place. Then I hit some high water doing about 70mph and it instantly went into hydroplane! My car slid over to the next lane and I hit the brakes and it finally caught some traction and I straightened back out. Didnt think it would be that bad! :shakeno: So I just cruised slowly the way home and made a stop to autozone and picked up some energy suspension plyurethane sway bar bushings for when i put it back on. Will those help out? I was missing one stock bushing and the rest were worn. I wanted to put it back on but its still raining out. That was scary! So ill go ahead and say that if your car isnt a pure track car then leave the swaybar on there!

Glad you're OK.

braking is the worst thing you can do when your vehicle is out of control. Its hard to overcome the second nature to brake, but its not what you want to do. 99% of the time it just intensifys whatever is gonna happen.

yea next time I will try to remember not to hit the brakes.....it felt real close to spinning out. I got the swaybar back on a little while ago and now the tires feel like theyre actually contacting the road lol... I wasnt expecting great handling with the bar removed, but not that bad.....

Well, with the rain we've been having around here lately I wouldn't doubt hydroplaning. It hasn't just been steady rain, it's been like taking giant buckets full of water and dropping them all at the same time, crazy flash-flooding. Starting to actually feel like summer in TN.

Yea me and my family are glad its FINALLY raining. We have a landscaping company and this month long drought has killed the grass and plants. We havent had much work to do so now this rain will make the grass and everything grow so we have more work and are able to make more money.:pepper: Today was just an all out flash flood though while I was driving home.....
