H&R Springs?

Hey fellas, Got a question. I have the Eibach Sportline springs on my Cobra now and the stance is ok, But would the H&R's give it a better rake and do they lower it anymore than the Eibach Sportlines and If I remove the isolators to give it a better rake does it create a squeeking noise in the front?

Ive installed a bunch of springs on many different cars including mine, and Ive never used the isolators on the front springs and no one complained of noise. Id try removing the isolators before buying new springs.

BTW, we have a suspension forum, just so you know...

You won't get as low of a drop as the Sportlines.

Some people have squeeking noises with no front Iso's and some don't.

Did it create a better rake to your car?

Itll drop it about 1/4".

MM 4 bolt c/c plates are the way to go.

Hey dan let me ask you this. I know alot of guys even on modulardepot dont use them either to get a bit more drop. But Arent they there for two reasons 1. to keep them quiet and 2. to keep them from eatting up the A-arms?

I want to remove one of mine from eat front o get the front a hair lower but i heard they start to eat the front pearches after awhile. You notice anything on yours so far like after having them like that?

03gtmustang 10-20-2006 06:31 AM

I didnt notice anything like that on mine after I removed my pro kit. The only thing I noticed was a bit of the paint from the bottom of the spring rubbed off. I didnt hear any extra noise either.

I heard if you just wrap the bottom with some electrical tape some it wont even do that. I think i am gonna do that. As with the bullit springs the car sits nice just the front needs another 1/4" and it will be totaly level. Could be because i have the mach1000 and a nitrous tank weighting the back down more than most stangs. I am gonna try to do that this weekend if i have the extra time to get a hair more drop out of it. Then it will be perfect for me.

How long have you had the Eibachs and are your tires rubbing?

03gtmustang 10-20-2006 05:23 PM

I had the pro kit for awhile. Never had any problems with the tires rubbing. Now Im running coil overs and stock rear springs.
