Stupid Football Question
 

Hey all,
First, I'm not all that into sports in general, but I do like the Madden games, and usually buy every 2nd or 3rd years editions. I've got Madden 10, and as usual, I'll create a player, set him as a QB and then in Franchise mode set him with a team.

Lacking my knowledge, I had a question about the QB's stats. Are his Total Passing Yards tabulated strictly by the amount of yards actually thrown, or is it the total of the pass plus whatever is run by the reciever?

Like if the line of scrimmage is on the 10, I throw it and the reciever catches it on the 30, then gets tackled on the 50, is the total passing yards considered 20 (10 to 30) or is it considered 40 (10 to 50)?


Bonus question: Dealing specifically with the Madden 10 game. In previous versions, when I'd try to do a QB Sneak I used to do the hike, and as soon as the play started I'd hit the sprint button. The first several times I tried it in Madden 10 though, my guy literally would not move forward (the animations were going though) then he'd just fall, as if he'd slipped or something. I've tried it a couple more time, this time not doing anything after initiating the hike, giving him a half a sec, then starting to move him, but it'd do the same thing. Any ideas what I'm doing\not doing right\wrong?

I was thinking about using Coach Mode (description says "The QB will automatically throw the ball if you do not take control after the snap.") to see what it does, but I haven't yet.

Ok to answer the first question it will be the total. So the yards go until the WR is tackled. So in your example it would be 40 yards.

To answer your second question, I think it's a stupid new addition to the EA football games. I have NCAA 10 and you can't control the QB on a sneak play. I have no idea why or how to change it. Don't call sneaks I guess haha

you also have to include his rushing yards also
and to give a very precise answer it would also include his pr, kr, etc

no sounds like a lot but some people make a player and puts him everywhere

yeah im really into the whole madden thing, i play online as much i can since im a student im not really doing anything in the summer so i play , but the whole QB sneak thing is ricdiculous, its an awful addition to the ea football games, would love to find out how to change it if anyone has.

Dang, I'll have to check that out as well....I've only played probably 5 games on the new NCAA game, but haven't ran a QB sneak yet.
