w00t.

I've got the car idling and drivable around town. I'm doing a datalogging drive today and trying to refine the tune. After that change break-in oil and filter and get ready to take it for a dyno run and final tune.

Nope... it's still planned for January. I'll definitely be there now that my new engine is in. I grew up in the IE... whereabouts are you in LA.

Folks... as soon as mpt is back from overseas I think we should start getting everything finalized. I'll ask those of you from B-field and 29-non-native-trees to run point on getting the local info and stuff set up. We'll need a full itinerary with meeting times, places, cruise routes and times, stops, race day info, fees, rules, the lot.

none of us know each other. I've had the luxury to meet 3-4 of the MB guys but mostly nobody knows anybody. This is how you get to know them. It's a 3hr drive for me... join in. We'd love to see you there.

Alright, heres a rought outlook on what I have.

From what I know, the track is running every friday, I haven't been able to find out considering my buddy that knows the track times has been out with his wife, who is pregnant.

As for local info: The southwest/northwest is where you want to be at on SATURDAY NIGHTS.

Saturday nights are the cruising nights a round here.

The best meeting spot I think we should be at, is the Valley Plaza on Ming Avenue, its right off the freeway, all you have to do is go straight forward through the light.

Meet in the parking lot right infront of SEARS, which you can't miss.

Best time to start cruising is 7pm or so.

MOST people cruise on Ming. After meeting at the Valley Plaza and doing our BSING and stuff. Head West, heading down to the Market Place, which is heavily populated, its a place to meet for everyone. Its about 4-5 miles away from the Plaza.

We Can then head to White Ln, up and down White Ln, and start making our way to the Northwest. Rosedale Hwy heading downtown, cruise downtown, and then head back towards Sonic around 9:30-10.

There isn't much to see around here, theres places to meet up, normally if we go to sonic and the guys aren't going anywhere, we stay out till about Midnight.

I can get more in depth, red, if you want you can PM me and I can set it all up with a little more though. I am a local.. I'll also be talking to my buddies, trying to get some of them to actually come out and cruise.

Unfortunately, my buddy with his Mystichrome..well..blew the engine, so it may or may not be out of commission.

I think there's going to be a lot of potential to do some nice video work. If anyone has something really nice in video recording gear they can bring that'd be special. Maybe take the whole crew out to the oil field roads and do some shots with the oil rigs in the background, go out and do some orchard scenes... stuff like that.

Make it not only a cruise to hit the local night scene but something that we can make into a really nice looking MB mini-movie. If none of us are video editor geeks, I'm sure I can dredge one up to take all the footage and make it purdy.

No smoking motors... all cars must represent.

ok im back in the game. Got home 2 days ago and RELAXED, well kinda. I put the new black bullitt rims and cobra svo on the car. Today is the tach, adapter, headlights, bulbs, S281 wing, and new shifter and relocator (from UPR). I want to get it painted soon but have to find a decent place first. The cams, torque converter, and long tubes with new midpipe will be in there soon also. Good to be home and cant wait to meet everyone!!

i might be able to borrow someone's camera for the weekend. I am doing the work with a mechanic friend of mine up in San Bernardino. Cams, long tubes, new h pipe, and torque converter is what he is helping me with.

Looks like I'm heading down to SoCal in mid to late january to get my longtubes installed. Do we have any thoughts about pushing to Feb or March?

im cool with a push back. I go this upcoming monday to get the cams, 3800 stall converter, long tubes, and mid pipe installed. It should take me 2 or 3 days taking my time, but i still need to get it painted, which would conflict with our original date, so im cool with an extension. I just hope im not in the field when we get a new date set.
