Default Lack of experience, My ***....

We all know that the job market is tough out there. I keep applying for jobs and keep getting rejected not because Im a bad employee. Just because I dont have enough experience. How the hell do they expect me to get experience with out me being able to get a job. Really starting to **** me off. Its becoming an endless cycle. I need experience but how the hell am i supposed to get it if they are not offering me a job. The experience they want is real world experience and not the experience you get in college.

End Rant/

What I seen while I was searching for a job was that companies are not looking for entry level employees and it blows.

Dont give up

Im not, the retail im working at now is willing to spend time with me so i can get the experience to later become a store manager and the pay would be prettty decent but I have to wait another 6 months. In the mean time ill keep on looking.

I'm really dreading this when I graduate at the end of this semester. Hopefully I have a little better luck.

I used to think the same many years ago when I was like 18 and am now 38, I am in the Network Administration arena now. And I got in it about close to 20yrs ago, kinda scary when one thinks about it.

It is really sad coming right out of college and hitting this type of rut, but I dont believe your alone with the way the economy isnt your friend right now in the real world. But from a company stand point I think if I was gonna hire someone, I would like the person to have school knowledge... but I would want someone thats been in the trenches more too...

Keep trying man, try to do some consulting on the side to help with your resume... and then it might be a good walk in the door to catch the hiring peoples eyes.

I second this whole thing! I am supposed to get "experience" for applying for pharm school, but to get experience i need to get a job as one and everyone says the exact same thing... unless you have "connections" those are stupid, keeps people wherever they are and makes it hard to move up

sorry about the quotations... are there any intern like programs you could do while you search for a job?
